Because you indicated that you live in a single family home, we recommend the Home Upgrade Program - check out the information below:
The Home Upgrade Program is a great opportunity to save money by saving the planet
just for you. Through the Home Upgrade Program, incentives (up to $1650 in rebates
alone) are available to Southern California Gas Company® (SoCalGas) and LADWP
residential customers with detached single-family homes who complete qualifying
energy-saving home upgrade projects. Each home's needs are unique, so a variety of
upgrades are available to help you decide what's best for you and your home, including
air sealing, insulation, windows, cool roofs, and upgrades to heating and cooling
systems.
For more information, visit –> www.socalgas.com/for-your-home/rebates/energy-upgrade-ca.shtml
Please be reminded that if you rent, obtain permission from your landlord before
applying for any rebates and programs.
Because you indicated your interest in weatherizing your home, we recommend the following rebates & programs:
Attic Insulation Rebates
Most homes built before 1980 have no attic insulation, causing cool air/warm air to escape. Customers who install attic insulation can see energy reduction and savings of $200 to $374 in a year, depending upon the size of the home and its location.
On top of savings in energy bills, qualifying customers can now receive rebates up to 80% of the total insulation installation costs or $1.00 per square foot of attic floor insulation (whichever is less). Read more about the program here.

Heating & Cooling
Human energy use is the primary source of Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emission. If you need a refresher, GHG is the reason behind Climate Change.
Energy comes in many forms and we use energy every day. Charging your phone? Uses electricity. Driving to the grocery store? You are burning petroleum. Taking a hot shower? It is energy that makes the water soothing hot.
Space heating, space cooling, and water heating are some of the largest energy expenses at home. Explore the rebates and programs below and see how you can reduce energy consumption and combat Climate Change … all the while saving on your energy bills.

What is the parkway or street right of way?
The term “parkway” is defined as the area of the street between the back of curb and the sidewalk that is typically planted or landscaped.
How do I receive a rebate for my parkway through the Turf Replacement Program?
In order for the LADWP to issue a rebate for your parkway, please complete the following:
-
First, apply online at SoCalWater$martand obtain pre-approval before starting your project.
-
Remove all grass from parkway.
-
Cap, remove, or convert sprinklers to drip irrigation.

Place permeable weed barrier material to prevent weeds from overtaking your project (i.e. newspaper, cardboard, weed fabric, etc.).
