Go Solar

The world has an energy problem – we have become too dependant on fossil fuels. While the usage of coal predates history, it is the commercial exploitation of petroleum starting in the 19th century that kicked off our love affair with fossil fuels.

Problem is, fossil fuels are nonrenewable, meaning it will eventually run out. Extracting fossil fuels pollutes soil and water, rendering habitats destroyed and drinking water contaminated. Burning fossil fuels releases a plethora of air pollutants including carbon dioxide, the notorious greenhouse gas & Climate Change contributor.

Why not go solar? Solar power is renewable and clean. You save on utility bills, and on top of that, you might be able to sell whatever excess electricity generated. Check out LADWP’s current solar incentives on the next tab!

LADWP aims to encourage the development of residential solar systems. The Solar Photovoltaic Incentive Program (SIP) provides an incentive payment to LADWP customers who purchase and install their own solar power PV systems. Most recently, the LADWP has developed a Feed-in Tariff (FiT) Program to allow customers to sell renewable energy produced from their own systems. For more information, go to the Solar Incentive Program and/or the FiT Program.
